When I walked into Hannah’s House. I was tired, broken and miserable. Humiliated that I had been hospitalized by the disease of addiction just the day before. It was not easy to open my eyes and my heart to the possibility of a better life, but the staff at Hannah’s House didn’t allow me to feed into my own delusions that I wasn’t capable of recovery. Every person there worked day and night to cultivate an environment that was safe for anyone who might need help. Over the course of two months I experienced tremendous self growth and walked away with so much more than just a big book. The RA’s walked me through every step and helped me to understand the deeper meaning behind each one. Today I am over 16 months clean and sober. My journey started at Hannah’s House, and for that I am eternally grateful.
